After last year’s success we proudly present you the new version of our whisky – chocolate pairing experience in collaboration with the artisanal master-chocolate maker Balerdon from Sint-Niklaas. This new version introduces you to 3 exclusive whisky’s carefully selected by our CaskSelector team which are also available as bottlings from our own label. The diversity in taste presented by the whiskies will be matched by 3 exquisite hand-crafted pralines. And to complete the experience, we supplied you with the ideal glass to enjoy your occasional dram of whisky.
Bottle 1 (Left): North British: A Single Grain whisky! From the mass production of this grain distillery we were able to get our hand on one of the pearls that are produced there before it got blended in with the masses and we helped it to find its way to you as a single cask, cask strength bottling. With its 52.5% and 10 years of maturation on a barrel this is the softest of the 3, the ideal opener for this set.
Bottle 2 (Middle): Glen Moray. A wonderful speyside, often somewhat underrated due to their own very affordable and accessible bottlings. This 9-year old cask shows the real quality of this distillery in its purest form. Bottled at cask strength above 60% it feels like a perfectly balanced kick on the tongue.
Bottle 3 (Right): Ledaig. On the Isle of Mull it is not all Tobermory that is coming out of the stills but there also is this peated beauty. Last in the set here because of his balanced peatyness but possibly also due to the tricky correct pronunciation, Led’-chig. The tongue should however already be loose enough to give it a try while enjoying this great 10 year old single cask that was brought to you at 59.3%. Enjoy!
